| Well there are a WHOLE bunch of different smells of perfumes out there, but yeah some of them are sensual. The reason why? It really has to do with the type of reactions the perfume provokes. A sensual perfume could provoke really intimate thoughts, something deep, unlike a fruity perfume, which could provoke some happy-go-play-in-the-water type of thoughts. The sensual smells are a little more sophisticated. I hope i made some sense out of this. |

um well i'm not sure what to put. i know some women can really DOUSE on the perfume and you get within 30 feet of them and it's like *GAG*. that's just creepy, even if it does smell good. for last christmas (07) my aunt got me stuff from victoria's secret (not by my bidding) and i still use it. i would NEVER set foot in that store unless i was bound and dragged in at gunpoint, but. the perfume is for younger girls, it's a light pink bottle, and definitely doesn't smell "sexy" or anything. my friends have even worn it before and my mom is fine with it. i think it's whatever your parents are good with your wearing. :] |

There are definitely scents that are used that way - looking at the names of the perfumes should give you a good indication of its true purpose. I don't wear perfume, but I do wear deodorant. Also, a little bit goes a long way!! We were camping, and because the showers are in a block, everyone's scented products mingle together, and we can all smell each others. Well, one lady drenched herself in something that really stank, and the whole block reeked! Anyway! Use your judgment, in this case. |

| As a guy I don't think there are certain smells that smell 'sensual', but then again girls have a better sense of smell than guys do so perhaps you guys are more in-tune with that. |

I love perfume. What is wrong with it? I admit some names are sensual. I hate those. But how can SMELLS be bad? |

| well, the body was made to react to touch, sights, tastes, and smells. I honestly have gotten a rush from smelling guy's Axe perfume (that's why I can't stand the stuff). I'm not saying it immediately fills you with lustful thoughts, haha. I wouldn't go that far. but I will say that, yes, I believe some perfumes/colognes can definitely arouse triggers in our brain. of course I don't have surveys and polls at my fingertips to give you, but I think it's possible. |

Ok, could I get some more opinions on this plz!? I really like the smell of AXE, but uh...that isn't the effect I'm going for...should I stop wearing it!? (I mean, and its SOOOOOOO easy to use, just put on some smeally clothes, give it a good once-over and ta-da!)

Well - Koudee - not all girls will react to the same smell. It's a case of using your own judgment. If you're not wearing it to attract all the girls, then I think you're fine. But if you are.... well... you may have to assess that. Ask a few of the girls you know if it affects them, and ask them to be honest. Chances are, they'll spend more time around you than EmilyJanelle will.... It's kind of like us girls and modesty. If we wear sacks to please that small majority of men that think modesty should be wearing a sack.... well... what happens to the other guys that think we're not taking care of ourselves and have not pride in our appearance because of those sacks? I don't know if that explains my opinion very well or not! See what everyone else has to say! |

Personally, I think general hygiene is more important in a guy than a good smell. He can smell amazing and look like he hasn't washed his hair in a few days and I'll notice the hair, not the smell. When a guy obviously takes care of himself, that is much more attractive to me than the smell of axe. (Now, take a shower and add a good smell on top--that's the ideal!)

| I agree with Bekah, completely. I've known plenty of guys (okay, only one comes to mind but I don't want to nit-pick) who will openly admit, "I haven't showered in 3 days! HUZZAH!" and take pride in seeing me cringe. seriously, guys, if you're wondering why the ladies seem to steer clear of ya...it may be shallow, but...shower on a daily basis! |

| @ Koudee - I agree with artyprincess on this one. if you're not going for the "I'm hott and you want me" appeal when you wear axe, I wouldn't worry about it too much. but if the only reason you put it on is to cover up your stinky, sweaty body odor...eh. I've come across boys (I say boys and not guys, because it always seems to be the 12-16 year olds who do this) who choke me with their Axe (or the like) smell. I seriously can't take a breath of fresh air around them! it's okay to get a whiff here and there, that's the point, but when I smell you from yards off...uh. :p |

I may sound strange (please bear with me on this one... I hope you don't consider me a freak because of my response!) but scents really seem to turn me on. I was actually thinking about it the other day, and then saw this topic. Crazay! Personally, I'd rather that guys just stay clean and wear nice smelling deoderant than cologne... this is because of my good sense of smell and what smelling a guy's cologne can do to me. Maybe it doesn't make sense to some of you, but again, it's jus me! |

| no, it DOES make sense, cayla! totally. I agree. and most of the time I don't mind, it's just like, "he smells good", and that's that. I don't dwell on it or anything. but sometimes it's like, "phew, did he pour the entire bottle on?!" haha. |

| Women actually have a better sense of smell than men, on average, in addition to seeing colors brighter and more vibrant (though we make up for it by being able to see in the dark better!). And I wear AXE deodorant, but no girls have ever acted weirdly because of it - at least, I don't think so. Maybe it's not as strong. *shrug* I usually only wear cologne for special occasions, such as a formal dance or a wedding or something. |

Ok, sweet, Its cheep, and makes me smell good, (yay!) I'm normally a big fan of my natural smell, (some of you may think this is wierd, but I actually like to preserve my "natural smell" so eating red meat, and other things is something I try to avoid...) So just a little spray, and some bodywash keeps me good. Just enough to compliment! |
