Hey everybody. Just so everyone knows, the "I NEED HELP!!!" and "I'm super confused and very hurt! Please help ASAP!!!" topics did get deleted, and I was the one responsible. I emailed Julie, reported a couple of the comments, and asked her to help. We weren't arguing anymore, I know, but things were continuing to get out of hand with the joking, and people were still getting their feelings hurt. To me, it seemed that the most mature thing to do would be to get Julie involved. I expected that she would give a warning, but not delete the entire threads. I'm sorry for inconveniencing those of you who have been looking for them, and I am sorry for hurting those whom I've offended. If it's ok with Julie, I think we should restart the social dynamics-thing and let Hannah (Daughter-of-the-King) continue discussion on her question. In addition, let's all try to be more respectful to each other and keep the forums direct and to the point! :) Love you guys. -Darcie

good on you for stating that Darcie. haha, and dont feel too bad though, cuz it's happened b4...
but yeah... we all got offended a while back when we were getting into a great phylosophical debate on a topic and it was cool to us, but we understood where Julie was coming from about deleting it, cuz yeah, idk the reason might still be posted somewhere lol.

Hey Darcie if it was my comments that caused you to e-mail Julie then I apologize profusely, I'm not actually racist I actually used to "go out" with this pretty, asian girl, and I really liked her, I dunno why I said that I didn't like asian girls, probably because I get away with saying it to others. So you read my little thing about adaptation vs. Darwinisim, what did you think??

Ehh... I don't care whether or not you like Asian girls... :P Nicole and I are cool anyway!
I didn't get to read your comment. I think the thread got deleted before I had a chance to see what you'd written.

It wasn't your fault, Hannah.
Q, why would you have thought that? I'm not that jumpy. I think you know very well what was wrong but... heh, it's all over now!

Well I can tell you one thing: I have stuff to say on Darwinism and evolution. But that would open a whole debate/can of worms/possible new thread. I'm reading "The Case for a Creator" and I think I'll spare you guys on my opinions. For the record though, I'm a total believer in creation- just to be clear on that part :P
Anyways- Darcie: HIGH FIVE for Asians! :D

Haha yea I don't mind asian girls but I don't get why some guys automaticaly like them just coz they're asian,

My little theory goes something like this, we've been around for almost 7000 years so thats more than 175 generations (7000/40) in that time genetics have been weeded out and others encouraged to flourish, aka adaptation, we have adapted to phisical and social coditions. But one of the few reasons I don't believe in Darwinisim is because no-one has ever observed a genetic mutation that has increased in information.

Feel free to pick as many holes in this as you can.

haha, you don't have to assume I'm going to disagree with you, although in most cases, it's true that I probably will! :P JKJKJK!!!
Mutations are mistakes in an indivdual's DNA. I think mutations could be partially a result of the curse that came with The Fall. God is a God of ORDER, not disorder! (That's somewhere in the Bible, I think...) Mutations aren't going to improve anyone, unless it's somebody with a bad attitude who needs to learn tough love. I'm not saying that someone with Down's Syndrome or Muscular Dystrophy is any less precious as a normal person, or that they're inferior, but it is true that a person with a disease such as those is going to have a much more difficult life than a "normal" person. Besides, nobody's normal, right? I know people with Raynaud's, diabetes, reading disabilities, ADHD...

Okay well, first and foremost, I'm a believer in creation, and since I haven't studied much science or evolution to begin with, I'm most definitely not qualified for in depth insights, but here's a bit of my insights:
For the most part, the theories of Evolution and the teachings of Darwinism have been, in the past few years, more and more put to death. In other words, scientists, cosmologists, astronomers, physicists, all have been finding new research that point more towards creation and intelligent design rather than the universe being created out of nothing. The famous drawing of the ape slowing evolving into a human being (among other evolution drawings) has been slowly stripped of its credibility in light of recent findings in various fields of science.
What the recent science findings have revealed very much coincide with what I already believe. Because of the world's complexity in design, how is it that we can evolve out of nothing? There is no way a single cell can evolve from a glob of amino acids into what it is now. The cell is too complex for that- it contains a lot of information and is what makes up an essential part of life. The whole universe runs in such a way that it suggests intelligent design, a creator who knew what he was doing when he created the world. The idea that humans and animals came from a common ancestor is also losing its credibility. Paleontologists haven't been able to find any evidence that points toward common ancestry. Haekyl's embryos- drawings that Haekyl drew of several different embryos to show common ancestry- have been revealed to be a fraud from the start; though science text books seem to still use them.
A lot of the new theories that have evolved stem from some aspect of Darwinism, but the problem with the ones that I know of (from what I read) are that they don't line up with what the original theory states or they go against what is a commonly known law in science. In other words, what the original theory was trying to avoid, the new theory picks up. From what I've read, these new theories are just desperate attempts to try and explain evolution.
Sorry, if you ask me to go into detail about some of this stuff and evolution, now that I've read a book explaining the case for a creator, I'll give you more than once sentence of it. :P Creation and the existence of a Creator are finally coming out :)

Yes they are mutations, a loss of information, but those losses of information can be benificial, like the maleria virus adapted to be resistent to the vaccine by losing the genitic information to produce a certain chemical or hormone (it was a latin name, I can't remember it) but that was the chemical that the vaccine attacked, or made it produce too much of, or something, but the loss of information was benificial, or mountain people are shorter than others, because tall people need more oxygen, less information can be benificial, so all I was saying was that we have adapted to situations,

what did you guys think of the theory itself, agree, disagree, agree with it in part, or what??

Well a person's height isn't a mutation unless they have a form of giantism or dwarfism... I gave you my opinion... what are you asking me to expand on?

Mmm I don't know much about mutation or genetics, but I do know that gigantism and dwarfism are sorts of genetic information alterations. Umm Q, I don't exactly get what you're saying- or how you got mutations from my post, unless you're talking about my objection to cells evolving from amino acids??
In any case, to expand my argument, and I'm no expert in the field of science, genetics, physics, astronomy, cosmology, or etc. But I do know that all of creation points towards a creator, and one that is very much involved in His creation today. Everything is so fine tuned, so intrinsically and purposefully made, that coincidence from a non beginning is just not cutting it. Science is pointing toward very credible evidence of a creator, a designer of this world who had purpose in mind when He created this world and man. Many prestigious (according to what I'm reading) scientists (cosmologists, physicists, etc) are now saying "how can anyone in their right mind look at this evidence and still not believe in an intelligent creator? He'd have to be just about blind otherwise." There are so many arguments towards this evidence that just strengthen my faith in the fact that God left His fingerprints everywhere in His creation. :) It's all very fascinating too. ^_^
