Subject: Is it okay to date your high school teacher?

I am 18 years old and I am senior... Do you think it is okay to date your teacher? He is like 27 years. I wanna know if it is moral or immoral...

ummmmmmmm... my gut says, no way jose. not until you graduate and are out of your school, no. that just leaves you in way too vulnerable a situation and put his career in jeporady. how well do you know him? how long have you known him? 18-27 is a biggg age gap at your ages. just my opinion.

My mom did... and has been married to him for over 25 years... (Yes, 10 year gap.) yeah, it's unusual, and from what I've heard, it was spring of her senior year before they went out... really close to graduation. So, I would agree with Emily on gut feeling- and she's right, it would make his career rather awkward. I'd leave it with your parents... it's something that will be in your own hands within a year, so it's not like you'll die if they say no, and he's your dream guy. It's not something to be rushed into. So- I don't think it's moral or immoral... it's just that with such a large age gap, it's stupid to rush into it... or even just move quickly into it. Oh yeah, and it's probably not a good idea to just date someone 10 years older just for the fun of it... just saying- if you're gonna do it, you'd both better be dead serious about going all the way.

Thank you very much for answering my questions. I must be honest. I don't know who is he exactly.But I think he is very mature and knows how to take responsability. I really like mature guys because I think they are attractive. I wish to have a real serious date...not just for fun. After reading emilyjanelle's message, I think that is not very resonable to date a teacher because of his job. I hate making troubles ... I really agree what she said. Well...my parents are very liberal . They don't care who should I date or should I marry because they trust me. I just wanna date someone who I feel comfortable. I don't wanna date a "BAD BOY". By the way , I am not awkward person !! thanks again =)
