| If you are down one day because of some situation that doesn't have to do with us, then what can we do to cheer you up- in person and on the phone??? |

Well keep in mind that all girls are different but when it comes to me... Just knowing that you care and or are trying to cheer me up cheers me up. For example if you could tell me jokes or if you just smile.
It really depends on the situation that's bringing me down though.
For the most part the little things are nice. |

| well anything a guy can do to make me laugh just joking around with me helps a lot or even just a simple comlement but you have to be careful its just simple so it doesnt make her think you are interested if you arent.. but laughing is a big thing for me |

Yeah, If you make girls laugh! that's a big one, or like, for me, doing something I think is fun with me. Like one of my friends recently fainted at this big event and it freaked me out, so to make me feel better my friends took me on a ride, which was flippin awesome!  but yeah, making a girl laugh is a MASSIVE thing! |

yeah, i agree with the laughing. just making me smile and crack up about something when i don't feel like it. that's why my best guy friend is my best guy friend. because, though yes most of the stuff he says to make me laugh is immature, it's still funny! and if i'm down in the dumps, it brightens my day.

| i agree with the laughing as well. also, i don't know about other girls but for me, when i'm feeling down, if someone gives me a complement then i cheer up sooo much. the complement can be about something i did, my artwork, etc. but it makes me feel so much better. actually if you say anything nice to me then i cheer up. |

Yep, I agree with the laughing too!!  Thats one of the major things that help. And just letting us know your there for us..that helps alot too |

I like it when guys notice that you have a bad day and don't say 'Aww, sorry' and just get out of the situtation as quickly as possible cause they don't wanna have a whole conversation about it. I love it when they ask why, and give you some advice, -and even when a girl doesn't open up right away, I like it when they stick it out until you do. It shows they really care. Then after they give you advice or whatever, they crack a joke to make you laugh. That can brighten my mood 100%.
As for over the phone, texting wise, this happened to me before. I guess my guy friend thought I was sad and he texted 'If you wanna talk about it I'm here, but if not I respect it' and 'I'm always here if you want to talk' That made me feel so special =] |

| I'd have to say...it's the little things. For me, I would want a guy to just be with me even when I was in a bad situation. Things like making me smile and getting me to focus on other things. But that's just me. Hope this helps! |

I'll tell you one thing: if a guy notices I'm feeling down, and takes the time to listen to me, comfort, or make me laugh, he's one BIG wonderful guy to me.
Usually for me, all it takes is someone to listen to me when I'm down, and just comfort me by understanding, and not criticizing my dilemma or bringing me down; perhaps empathize with me?  By making me laugh, he earns big brownie points CHOCOLATE and flowers definitely make me smile and I love anyone who feeds me chocolate and pampers me with flowers. ^_^ Haha.. |

| I love it when the guy asks me if I'm okay and tries to figure out what the problem is, it shows that he cares and then after he knows...if he tries to give good advice or makes me laugh..lol Thats enough to make me feel better...but if it's a serious situation and I'm crying I like it when they hug me and tell me it's going to be alright.. |

| hmm I'm not a huggy person in that I'll hug ALL girls but I have to know the guy for practically 9 years before I'll hug him...although I'm slowly getting better.
BUT even though I'm not a huggy person, I have to say that a hug would work wonders! Much better than standing there awkwardly with a sypmathetic look on your face because you don't know what to say...
And I agree that just saying 'I'm here for you' is fantastic and lets us know that you care... |

| I was really sick back in april and it was so nice reading all the cards people sent me. I also felt better when my friends texted me something to try and forget about my current situation or something funny. |
