I go to a boarding school and there are kids in grades 5-12 in the same building. Yesterday, I watched as a bunch of giggly fifth graders paired off for their first kisses. Thanks to shows like The Suite life of Zach and Cody and Hannah Montana, these innocent little children think that kissing is simply an exciting, perfectly normal activity for their age group.

God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of POWER, of LOVE, and of SELF-DISCIPLINE. So do not be afraid to testify about our LORD.

waiting for the lucky dude here too!
its so terrible(onto the tv shows etc)..and the horrid thing is that when you(im thinkin me here..from experience) kindof get "into" watching some of these shows/movies with kissing, and more you actually start thinking kindof like they want you to.and young kids watch and slowly get brainwashed..and the actors that play them at young ages have kissed dozens of times people that they dont even KNOW!and also theres the married actors/actresses that do that too and its just so sad.even if it IS acting..their still doing it.. in Real Life...
tsk tsk*shaking head sadly*

Kat it is sad and ridiculous they just shouldn't do that. and Clare i don't understand how fame could be sooo important to someone that they would pretty much "sell" their body to the cinema.

Im with clare on this one. I dont see anything wrong with kissing in moderation. Maybe not when your 12 years old, but when you get a little older, and you understand what you are doing. And dont even get me started on Miley Cyrus.. ughh... But anyway yeah I dont feel any pressure to kiss anyone right now, maybe because all my friends are still "kissing virgins" idk.. but yeah...

Why do we go with the flow
Or take an easier road?
Why are we playin' it safe?

Love is a chance we should take

I suppose you've all seen the Prince Caspian movie (My friend and I talked for 2 hours about how much we hated it) :)
Anyway, The guy who plays Caspian is married, and his wife says Anna Popplewell was lucky to kiss him. Gosh! If some girl was kissing my husband (and remember, they also have to do it during practice, not just the movie) I'd probably hurt her!

I get embarrassed going swimming with many other people and I wear modest swim wear!

At camp last summer I made an excuse about being allergic to chlorine so i wouldn't have to go :)

i do too! last year i went to state music with the pulic school cuz im in band...any hoo and we had to stay at a hotel it was a water park one, there were lot of teens from other schools there too, my friend and I were going to swimming and as we were walking down to the pool, guys kept saying things like hey hottie, whats your name, are you from around here, ect. i was wearing a modest swimsuit and well she wasn't. but she told them to back off and they did.. when we got to the pool i felt very akward, cuz i was the only one wearing something modest. and a few years ago my parents bought a pool for the back yard... so i hardly ever swim at public pools..wow that felt good to say all that.lol

no kidding Liz!!! sometimes to get the scene they have to do about 30 cuts and plus theres like rehearsal..i imagine its slightly impossible to kiss someone over an over and over (etc!!) and be TOTALLLY acting.like not letting any enjoyment or anything.what a terrrrible thought!

may i ask why u hate the movie so much?!lol!:D kinda crackd me up even tho i like it..
i mean if i remember right it was okay..not near as good as the first one tho!!

ya beckah i have only gone to public pools when i was a kid..apart from motels late at night when not many people were there.lol. i think itd feel really awkward to be swimin with random people that u have no clue in sam who they are or anything lol!

Sorry Kat, but you asked for it!
1) Have you ever read the book? The movie is nothing like it!
2) There was no Fight at the Castle scene in the book
3) or the thing with the White Witch in Aslan's How
4) Peter and Edmund were supposed to arrive at the camp when Nikabrik, the hag and the werewolf were trying to talk Caspian into getting help form the White Witch
5) As I mentioned, that whole kissing scene at the end never happened
6) Caspian is supposed to be younger than Peter and Edmund.
7) (If you havn't read the book this one might not make sense) They didn't have the part where Aslan, Bacchus, umm...another guy whose name i can't remember and the "wild girls" are going around and upsetting the Telmarines
8) They skipped a whole bunch form the beginning
9) Caspian was not chased by the soldiers at all!
10) Lucy met Aslan WAAAY earlier in the book, and in a better manner.

Would you like me to go on? I am a staunch believer in "book before movie". :)

@Liz haha!!:D
thanks for the detailed explanation;D
i think i have read the book quite a while ago..been way too long! but its good to know ur a fan of the books at least!lol.
and i agreee im also kindof a "book vs movie" person..it kindof agitates me when the movie is way different than the book if iv read the book before i see the movie.actualy now that i think about it i kindof prefer whichever i like first.like..i like the movie "flicka" way better than the book..
excuse the random insertation there but i hadnt read the book before.(i also kindof have like this obsession about horse movies:) or really luv them at least.ahhh the power...) lol.

Yeah, I totally get you! Like if you read the book first then watch the movie the movie is totally awful, but if you watch the movie first then read the book the book is totally awful right?
It get's kind of annoying, but i can't really help it. :)

I also totally get the random insertation! ;) I do it Aaaaalll the time! :)

Prince Caspian? MAN the book is WAY better! I was sooooo mad when I saw the movie. NOTHING really went the way it was supposed to in the book- especially the 'romance' between Caspian and Susan. If you haven't read the book then the movie is really good- I have to admit, and I'll give you that. :) Pretty much, Liz, you NAILED it.

Wow you guys are awesome! Your posts give me hope. :)

Kissing- 12 is way young to be experiencing your first kiss and sex. It's kinda sad. As for Hannah Montana- or the girl who plays her: Miley Cyrus, she's supposed to be a Christian who's faith is important to her, and who turns to the Bible pretty often. She also says that she makes decisions based on her faith and that fame is not important to her. Well she says all this in her book "Miles To Go"; I picked it up while I was at Barnes and Noble and kinda just skimmed through it- stopping at places where she writes about her faith. I was impressed and felt happy with what I read- I only hope the media gets things wrong with pictures concerning Miley.

OK I'm surprised I haven't replyd to this.
I dont like kissing in movies, cuz then I start feeling sad cuz I've never kissed a guy, which without watching that, I am actually wuite glad I haven't kissed a guy yet...

OK the whole Miley Cyrus thing... She says she's a christian, but she actually doesn't act it at all... I just recently saw her performing "Party In The U.S.A" for the queen, and OMGosh, she looked like a "s***" wearing these micro mini shorts, and hardly any clothes and vulgar dancing... and on top of the NUDE photos... and have you seen the vid for "7 things"? she basically uses Nick Jonas's diabetes to get back at him for dumping her... she wears a diabetic bracelette in the vid and kinda mocks him.... really unchristian behaviour.
LOL sorry, i just have MAJOR issues with Miley, cuz she was such a nice girl who's gone the way of Lindsey Lohan, Britney Spears etc.

Turn up the music
Turn it up loud
Take a few chances
Let it all out
'Cause you won't regret it
Lookin' back from where you have been
'Cause it's not who you knew
And it's not what you did
It's how you live

I can't stand Miley Cyrus! she acts way too old for her age, and yes Jojo, her clothing and her dancing. I don't keep up with stars much, but Lindsey Lohan is always in the news!

OK, people are always talking about their "faith"......
OK, their "faith" in what?? their faith might be in Peperroni Pizza for all we know.
Miley Cyrus might be a christian, but....could've fooled me!"
sorry, i just don't like Miley Cyrus. :S

haha I don't like her much, either. I don't know her personally, but I don't listen to her songs or watch movies she's in. Though that new movie, The Last Song, was a romance and that also had a lot to do with why I didn't watch it =]
