Hi!
I'm just wondering if anyone has any movies that they really liked to suggest watching?? Or ones to avoid at all costs?
I'll start!

Movies to watch:

Fireproof
Yours, Mine and Ours
Stick It
Cheaper by the Dozen

Ok - I'll stop there!!
what are your suggestions?

best romance movie, IMO, is pride and prejudice ('04) starring kiera knightley and matthew macfayden. it has absolutely no cursing (except a**, and the guy is calling himself that, while he's apologizing to his future wife) and the only kissing scene is after elizabeth and darcy are married. I LOVE IT!!! =D

Well, Lord of the Rings, when you have a few hours...
Bolt. I know, I was expecting it to be really stupid, but it was actually hilariously fantastic.
We just watched The Last Sin Eater at my girls group, and though it's not a movie I want to see again very soon (there just isn't so much there), it was a pretty good movie.
The SpiderMan series, especially 3.
X-Men
I'm really into action movies, but I don't think most of my favorites would be appreciated ;-]

Personally, I avoid a LOT of movies because of the insane... oh dear, I don't really have a single word for it. Um... for how they contradict what my life stands for. They're filled with sexual comments, swearing, negative behavior, etc. My reason is that we are to be in the world and not of the world / things can be permissible but not beneficial / the eye is the lamp of the body, so if it's bad, the body is filled with darkness!

SO... some movies I enjoy are:
~Pride and Prejudice (both, but the 5 hour version is better IMO... go JoJo! :P)
~Lord of the Rings Trilogy
~Eragon
~Chronicles of Narnia (both)
~Star Wars (slightly lame, but funny and have a good message)

Those are pretty much my favourites. :) I hope that helped

LORD OF THE RINGS. d00d, I could quote that movie for hours on end! haha! =D
Star Wars! yeah! my dad was obsessed with them when the (technically) last three came out in the 80's. they are all plain awesome! :]
Chronicles of Narnia! bigger yeah! I saw both in theatres.
the Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas; those are my 3 favorite Disney princess movies. and Toy Story is my all time favorite Disney "boy movie".

I'm really into war (especially Civil War/World War I/II) movies, too. there are no boys in our house, and I'm the oldest, so I think I kinda got the "boy gene" of loving gore and stuff like that, haha.

here's my list of movies from my profile on here:

pride and prejudice ('04), the village, lord of the rings trilogy, one night with the king, the chronicles of narnia, the passion of the christ, pirates of the caribbean 1-3, gladiator, braveheart, glory, remember the titans, saving private ryan, a beautiful mind, apollo 13, gettysburg, thr3e, cinderella man, the prestige, radio, walk the line, pearl harbor, rocky, hotel rwanda, castaway, forrest gump, ever after, the sixth sense, the green mile, titanic, star wars, my big fat greek wedding, schindler’s list, gods and generals, rambo.

AH, okay adelynn, do you remember the scene where "those we don't speak of" are coming through the town, and Ivy waits for Lucius in the doorway, then he comes for her in the nick of time?! and he grabs her hand and holds it in the basement! AHHH! I'm a puddle right now just thinking about ittt!

I love how the whole movie has no cursing. and the only "kissing scene" is barely one at all, the camera is moving away from them as they lean towards each other. I JUST LOVE ITTTT.

yeahhhh *smileshappily* hehe!!

Okay also Bella , which is an Indy film about an unmarried pregnant woman and the man who shows her God's love in unromantic, non-mushy but still super-sweet ways.
And, The Ultimate Gift . Very sweet movie. I cried. Which doesn't happen often =] But I could relate to a lot of it
