Hey guys,

I want to know what you all are studying in school. If you've decided on what to major in or which field of work you would like to be a part of, please share! You can include any colleges you're looking at if you want.

I did a "Certificate Of Performance majoring In dance" at Excel School Of Performing Arts in NZ (They have video's of us on youtube... look for 07 dances tho...)
but yeah, I'm gonna do a dance course @ Uni and then do a Youth Leadership course and then after that, see if i can become a professional dance choreographer... but idk yet...
I also want to continue doing my art, singing, acting and music... but yeah... haha
sounds like heaps, but it's what i'm passionate about :P

I'm pretty boring. Right now studying aerospace engineering, which is pretty much mechanical engineering with maybe 4-5 different classes.

Well right now I'm just working at two part-time secretary jobs (fun fun :)) but I plan on going on a mission's trip this fall. Where? I do not know - God's got that in His hands.

The organization I'm going with communicates the Gospel through creative arts, all of which I am passionate about. I'm not sure what I'll do once I get home from there, but I'm considering Bible College for music and youth studies. Music and youth are definitely my passions!!! :D

well im going to college next year.  im not set on a major yet but im looking into the art field or like graphic designer/art director/business type of thing.. i love to oil paint but i dont know if i could make a living out of it unless people really liked my art haha.. i went to the art expo in NYC a couple months ago and people were selling their paintings for thousands and thousands of dollars it was nuts i was just excited to be looking at all of it but yeah so now that i am way off topic... im leaning towards majoring in an art/business field

oh and locke i dont think thats boring at all i have a lot of respect for people who can do that type of stuff cause i really cant to save my life...

First of all, Locke, I don't think you're boring at all. I really can't fix a telephone to save my life. So you have my respect and props. Faith, I really enjoy painting and oils are my absolute favorite! I love working with texture and you can really layer with oils... moving on: I love to write fiction on the side, but since i'd have to be really good in order to make a decent living as an author, i'm thinking i'll minor in English and just take some creative writing classes. My current major is Health/nutrition and i'm really loving it. Like JoJo, i love to dance, but my specialty is Ballroom dancing. :) I want to compete in different competitions along the road sometime. :) One thing i'll share with you guys is that I am planning on signing up for the Navy- not as a sailor- but i was looking into a career in the Navy as a nutritionist. For now my future is in God's hands.

I'm studying Criminal Justice in college right now. Just started my sophomore year and looking to spend that in Britain, if my stinking visa ever comes back!

Oh and Jess, Central Bible College and Bible Baptist College in Springfield MO are some good ones. Azusa Pacific in Los Angeles in another one. Thought I''d throw those names out there.

Up here in WA we have the Moody Bible Institute. It's for those preparing for mission work or leadership in some way. It's excellent.

new Zealand, so do I
where you looking at going?
There is Pathways Bible College, My host dad was the principle there before he went to India as a missionary to do the bible College there with his wife.
There's The Bible College of NZ, has a few campuses, Lifeway bible College, armyish type of thing, living out your faith practically, MTC (Ministry Training College) they have a campus in Auckland in Botany Downs, or in Christchurch, I think... but with the earthquakes and all, idk about there :P
Um. There's Life College, run through Life church. There is Equippers College, run through Equippers church, If you like performing Arts as well, Excel School Of Performing Arts teaches Performing Arts and Christian studies. I went there :D I also enrolled at MTC. I have friends that go to all of these.
Then there's Bethlehem Training Institute in Tauranga, but it only does Pastoring and Counselling, I think... :D
Let me know if you have more questions :D

I put in my 12 years of school and hated every second of it(eye problems probably didn't help). Even summers during school I worked for a guy doing landscape design/installation/maintenance, and still do 6 years later. For about the past 4 years, I've worked for a used auto dealer, crop farmer, and until last spring, dairy farmer(same guy). I don't know what I'll be doing the rest of my life, but probably making something grow. :P My brain ain't good for much, but the rest of my body knows how to work. I will never sit behind a desk in an office full of other people for 8 hours every day and not see the sun. I would rather die.

@ JoJo - thanks so much for those suggestions! I'll look them up and see if I can narrow down my options. I'm not looking to go anywhere in particular but since I'm in Auckland I kinda want somewhere close to home to save on finances and travel costs and accommodation.

I put in my 12 years of school also...and home schooled from 1st to 5th and got spankings from mom every day. The next 6 years I spent being a rebel at school :D I don't want to go to college. I'm an in home care giver and live with an old lady most of the week...and pretty much hate it!! It's booring! I can't wait to quit and do something with animals, kids, or wood!

@Jess. yeah, most of those suggestions are in Auckland :D I think pathways is in penrose, bible college of nz is in henderson, lifeway and life are run through the same church, one is based in silverdale?? i think... and the other somewhere either central or south, Equippers is south, excel is in newlynn, hehe.

@Grant, you're quite brainy with some of the answers you come up with, but i mean, if you like doing stuff, what about something like an apprentiship??
