Thats really good info David! I have another question So... say im interested in a guy and he (to me, at least) seems interested in me... ie always wants to talk whenever I am around him etc... and I really like him, and would want to date him, but I'm not 100% sure if he actually does like me, and I don't want to lose his friendship if i make it more obvious that I like him. Cuz he's an awesome guy and even just having him as a friend, in itself, is awesome... and I wouldn't wanna risk losing it... HAHA I love trying to think up scenarios |

| hey david you said that girls should not just wait around...what wood you say as a guy wood be appropriate for a girl to do? so that she doesn't just sit around hoping for the guy to come rolling down the street;-) just curious, there is this one guy i've liked for ALONG time pry about 4 years! i've had so many people hint at that already. a few weekends ago someone asked me about if often hung out with his sister, or if the 2 of us were dating, cuz they sometimes seen my car at his house! then last week i was at our pastors house just to visit as friends, then he's like you have a boyfriend? i was like no, then he's like i think this "name" is a really nice guy! i...was not sure what to say! cuz he was referring to the same guy i liked!! it just makes me think if God wants us to be together. cuz for a pastor to say that!like of all the people that we have in the church what made him choose the 2 of us and thinks that he is a nice guy. which ya i agree he's an awesome guy! |

| I'm not really sure, Adelynn, I think you have to consider the situation and the guy you're dealing with. for me, I currently kinda-sorta like (as in, yes, I like him but it's probably going to deteriote and I know this, therefore, I'm not doing anything about it) my ex-boyfriend. I'm definitely not dropping (or trying not to) any hints whatsoever, we're just friends. does he like me? that, I have gotten pretty big hints about. and my friends have noticed. but again, I don't think it's gonna (or should) go anywhere, so. we're still very good friends and I hope we remain so, whatever happens. I think it really all depends on the situation, is my point. |

| from what I've seen, guys are either oblivious to a girl flirting with them, wonder what wrong with the girl, or eat it up. But that is just what I've noticed with my girl and guy friends. |

That's really cool, Jes. The interesting thing about guy/girl relationships, I think, is that if you wait for God to work something out and work on your relationship with Him in the meantime, He'll bless you with something cool like that.
I'd just encourage you to let the guy take the reigns on this (not that you're not doing that already... I just want to encourage you). When guys have to work for something, they appreciate it more. And when girls are pursued, they know the guy believes that they have a lot of worth.
One of the coolest things is that God will totally work everything out in His timing - when you're both ready.
Oh... and way to like the good guy! Sometimes girls forget that the good guys are worth waiting for... |

@David Well, hello again. I left you hanging there didn't I? That was almost exactly a year ago. I didn't respond because I didn't know what to say. I have a better understanding of Calvinism and Arminianism now (we actually just watched a documentary of Calvinism and all the aspects of it). I am sympathetic to Calvinism, but I'm not willing to fight you to the ends of the earth over it .
So, would you like to continue our discussion?
First off, I'd like to bring up Romans chapter 9, which I believe is strongly Calvinistic. What is your interpretation of it?
