| I don't believe in the spirituality behind Karma, but the idea of it seems proven true. Is there something biblical to represent it. It killed a relationship I wanted because I killed a relationship I didn't want. |

| I'm not aquainted with the Karma theories very much, just a little. Can you explain a little? How do you think it killed a relationship? |

I don't know much about Karma either. |

What we sow is what we reap would be the Biblical term! Well it is true that there will be consequences to our actions. But I don't belive in Karma, though sometimes it does seem logical. A stingy rich guy looses his money and the honest poor guy gets it. That kind of stuff. One verse keeps going though my mind. I'm not sure where it is, but it says "we wrestle with things not of this earth but with pricipalities and powers" There is so much going on we don't see and understand. Do you remember in Job where Satan is talking to God and saying he will get Job to turn from God, and God allowes Job to be tortured knowing Job will stay strong. Sometimes when really hard things come in my life and I think God left me, I remember one sermon I heard how Satan will do anything to tear us down, to get our focus off God. He will find you weakest spot and attack it. So as far as the Karma theories, I see it as there's a battle in heaven. In my rich man poor man example the rich man was focusing on money rather than God,in the end God took away the money. The rich man may not have then turned to God but in the realm we can't see it was a triumph between Good and evil. The poor man was being drug down, but God rewarded his faith. He, like Job was brought down, but God won the battle with satan. I hope that made sense, and are you a christian? I made a lot of references to things in the bible I'm assuming you know.. |

It is the biblical principle of you reap what you sow, as Clare said. Plus, don't forget that there are consequences for sin as well. As far as I know, people who don't believe in God decided it was 'karma'. |

| yeah, but I do believe in consequences, which is kind of the same thing but much more concrete. If you crash your parents car, you usually have to pay for it... if you are kind to someone, they usually (hopefully!) pass that kindness on to the people they come across (Including you). |

Karma is symbolism for some people though (like me). I don't follow the whole spiritual traditions of it. I just believe that saying. "Reap what you sow" is what I was looking for. |

Clare, here's the verse I think you were thinking about: "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, aagainst the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God......." Ephesians 6:12 |

| Karma is more like a pagan take on predestination... right? Like the whole lucky-charms (not the cereal! LOL!) and superstition and all that junk, right? |

| I don't think so... I think it's more of just a fate supposedly settled by nature and spirits and stuff. |

yeah kharma is a fate thing, whereas the biblical version is a "do good, and you shall have good done unto you, and be blessed" etc... idk, someone with more theological knowledge than me is best left to answer this |
