ARG lol.
I just think we need a space to build each other up while we're waiting for God to bring our future spouses into our lives lol
OK I sound so corny 
but yeah... I just hate getting that 'butterflies in stomach" feeling about someone, and you know it's prob never gonna amount to anything, and it messes with you emotions... and you head...
Anyone have comments or anything, it would be cool to start a discussion on this...

| yeh i have the same problem...lol and if you fall head over heels for some guy "that you know" it can become very awkward. i have been there. but then i try to remember that God has some perfect guy out there just waiting for me! |

I love going to the mall because I always see a cute girl there
Sometimes I'll be thinking of that girl the rest of the day and when I'm in bed I'll think about the whole "What if" thing
Like "What if I went up to her and somehow it ended up in a relationship?" then I go into detail of what our relationship would have been like!
And I never even talked to her!
Lol
I suppose it's a good way to occupy our time until the right person comes along?

I do not go looking for it. I go to the mall, maybe once a month. Do not judge what you do not know. --- And what exactly do you mean by emotionally pure?

For me, being emotionally pure means something along the lines of
Not dwelling on or fantasizing about a relationship that you have ar wish you did.

haha Kidlove it did sound like you go to the mall to watch for cute girls 8-O
and I agree with Liz, being emotionally pure is loving your future spouse and no one else (in a romantic way, I mean). So fantasizing about a random stranger- or a good friend, or anyone besides your spouse, actually- is entertaining thoughts about someone that we aren't really supposed to be fantasizing about. Even if it is just what it would be like to date them, because once we are comfortable with dates, we become bored... and it leads to serious fantasizing.
I don't usually quote Bible verses because it can be seen as pushy and it can be uncomfortable, but Kidlove, you seem to respond to them, so here are a few: Matt. 5.8 "God blesses those whose hearts are pure..." and
Mark 7.20-22, "And then he added, 'It is what comes from inside that defiles you. For from within, out of a person's heart, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness.'" (emphasis mine) |

| @Liz - Haha Yes, I am a guy. I love seeing the beauty God created. By saying I love seeing cute girls doesn't necessarily mean I love checking them out. I don't lust after them. --- I don't dwell on it. Like I said I think about the "What if?" thing. What if she could have been the right girl for me and I didn't take the chance? | @Adelynn - You can only learn about relationships, by experiencing relationships. You can only learn your likes and dislikes by experiencing relationships. I'm not looking for flings. I look for love, and only love. Which is the reason I haven't had a gf in over a year and that last relationship lasted nearly three years. Not to sound prideful, but if I wanted a date, I could get a date. I'm waiting till I find a girl it feels right with. Then I will take a chance on it. If it doesn't work out, at least I'll learn something from it and it will bring me one step closer to finding my wife. --- Believe me, I don't go into the whole serious fantasizing thing. I think that its important that we have a comfortable place to discuss what we struggle with and be able to not condemn people.... Yes fantisizing is wrong, as long as you dont do that... you should be fine... like David's said... guys are built to find girls attractive, just like girls find guys attractive...
Like theres someone I met in the last month who I sometimes thing "I wonder if circumstances were different, if I would have married him..." lol |
