No there's nothing wrong with them...
alot of arranged marriages turn out just fine, because normally the parents pick suitable partners for their kids, and often because they had to get married, they grow to love the person... Watch "Fiddler On The Roof" the main couple have grown to love each other even though they had an arranged marriage.

IDk bottom line it can work... sometimes it doesn't... but even in biblical times they had arranged marriages... Mary and Joseph are an example...
Jacob was sent to his uncle's house to marry one of his cousins, cuz she would be a believer... (btw back in those days this often happened... so it wasn't weird...)

lol any other thoughts?

Turn up the music
Turn it up loud
Take a few chances
Let it all out
'Cause you won't regret it
Lookin' back from where you have been
'Cause it's not who you knew
And it's not what you did
It's how you live

I don't think God has only one person in the whole world for you. I think He can work through several people and the choice is yours to choose to love or not to love the person. Like in arranged marriages. they aren't wrong. Isaac sure didn't go through the mall looking for a girl. He had to take who was chosen for him.I'm very glad my parents don't choose for us, but sometimes I do think it would be much simpler!haha

But I don't think that it's wrong. It's a mindset- these people grow up with the attitude that their parents are picking out someone for them to spend the rest of their life with, so they have a lot of time to reconcile that idea!! I don't think I would be very accepting of it, personally... =]

I mean I don't think I would like my parents to suddenly say "hey, we've picked out a husband for you!"

ha ha Adelynn.... me neither! I want to involve my parents (and my future in-laws) but not to the point where they choose who I'm to marry. That's MY choice!
So, to answer the question, they're not 'wrong', but they won't work for everyone.

God Can.

My parent's kind of try to. Hey so and so is a nice guy and I usually come back with "so was the guy with all the chains and tattoos at the mall!lol Right now dad and mom's big thing is to find what kind of guy would go with my personality (I'm a handful) and they decided a very quiet laid back, calm guy would be best. Then they realized that's exactly the guy that I really like really likes me is like. I couldn't stop laughing at them and their feeble attempts!
