It's been forever since I've been on here!! But I completely understand what you're going through. I'm just getting out of a similar situation. But this guy wouldn't take a hint, at all. Even after I said I am not dating anyone, and am keeping myself from any distractions. His response to that was, "I won't be a distraction." *Eye roll* And he continued to bug me. I told him I wasn't going to date at all, he said he was already starting to fall form me. (I had only known him for a week) And he thought God was leading me to him. *again eye roll* Not to mention he told me this the day after he broke up with his previous girlfriend. It finally got to the point where I had to tell him that I'm not going to date to date. And that the person I will wind up with will be going into the same mission field I am, it will be a team thing. He knows I am a religion major, and he is a graphic design major. So I was hoping he would get the point, but not so much. At one point he asked me if the reason I told him no to dating was ligitimate. And I flat out said "the reason I said was true, I see you as a friend and nothin else. You are my brother in Christ." I finally had to tell him that my friendship with guys are limited, especially when I know I'm not dating, because it is too easy to get super emotionally attached. Plus it was just weird when he would eat lunch with my and my friends... cause I could feel him looking at me the enitre time. I've learned thorugh this whole situation, some guys are just incredibly thick, don't get it, and somtimes you need to to bluntly brutally honest... as hard as that may be... :p And as for Kansas I moved up to Wichita 5 years ago from Florida... And I could never imagine moving somewhere where it doesn't have seasons like it does here. It is SOOOO gorgeous. I love Kansas!!! |

| Whoa! Time out, thread de-rail alert! You live in Wichita? Depending what part, I'm only about 45 min. NW of ya. I'm about 8 miles west of Hutch, straight north of Partridge. |

I sure do live in Wichita. And absolutely love Kansas!! I love the small towns. And am a small town girl, living in a slightly bigish city. I am a Religion major at Friends University. And live close enough to walk there. (Random Moment: Friends University is AMAZING!! I love it sooo much.) That is really cool. A fellow Kansan! ^_^ |

Neat! Yep, small towns, and small town people are awesome! I'm not surprised, being a Kansas import. LOL It's a tiny town of about 450 or so right between highways 50 and 61 after they split about 8 miles southwest of Hutchinson. If ya like small towns, you should swing by the Pretty Prairie Rodeo this year. |

| sounds fun. I live in a small town as well (not as small as you) but it's close to other places so to go to the movies or to go play lazer tag or something like that, it's only a short drive away. |

I so want to live in a small town. But I have no idea what the future will bring for me... When ever I go to my Grandpa's farm, which is in Atlanta. Smallest town I've ever seen. (We went on a Sunday and drove through it, and the main street was so clear two cars going in opposite directions stopped to talk to each other.) Towns like that make me smile. But We have to go through Douglas and Rock. And I absolutely LOVE Douglas! It has such a cute downtown. I was completely smitten when we drove through. Sorry thatwas completely random, and totally off topic... |
