I got invited to a party for after prom but my ole man said i couldn't go because it will have guys there and he don't want to come with me.. I'm bout ready to loose my mind an just go off on him.... What shold i do? |

The traditional after parties usually end up with drinking excessively and girls ending up pregnant... so i can see why he wont let you go.
I also don't think you'd really like it if your dad went along... I know I'd be so weirded out!!
For me, myself, I dont go to these things unless they're christian and are non alcoholic, but those are my personal standards.
Bottom line, (I donno if you're a christian or not.... sorry, i just assume...)
it does say in the bible to honour your parents, for it is right, and it's the first commandment with a promise that you'll enjoy long life on the earth. (it's in exodus somewhere...)
but I'd probably just say to your dad that you'd love to go, but realise he wants to protect you, and you appreciate that and you'll listen to what he says.
I'm almost 21 and I still wouldn't go to those parties, and quite frankly, I dont feel like I've missed out on anything  |

I'm sorry things had to work out for you like this! but It sounds like he didn't love you the way he should have and I hope things get better. It will be really really hard for a while I know that. |

| Dang girl that sucks, sorry about it. But to get to the question, if your not still together technically, i dont see any problem with going as long as you keep yourself straight, unless of course you two plan on getting back together then i would talk about it and just a question, isnt this the same guy you mentioned in your last post, the one that was being all messed up to you? |
