| We had some friends over a couple nights ago, and they have a son who is 19 and in college.
Anyhoo, when they were getting ready to leave, he turned to me and said "Hey Liz, I was thinking about asking you to the Farmhouse dance this ewekend, but then someone else asked me first."
I was just like "Oooh-kaaay, Umm. great." Why did he feel the need to say that? Either I would feel sad because i wanted to go (i don't) or I would feel really awkward (I did) because he said he was going to aske me, then didn't.
Guys? Any answers?? I am super confuzzled!! |

| Ummm...that's kinda weird! My first thought was this... He either wanted you to know that you are "cool" or whatever enough for him, that he was going to ask you, and wanted to make you feel special, and appreciated, or...he likes you, and wanted to spend time/dance with you, and wanted to drop you a hint. I guess he could just be a jerk, and wanted to make you jealous. LOL! I don't know if it's any of these, really depends on the guy, and how well you know each other. Those were just the first scenarios that came to mind. Have a great day! |

Whenever I ask him how college is going he says he hates it! I ask why, and he says "Aww, the girls don't even give me a chance. They're all just stuck-up prigs."
and...we were at a dance once, and the caller said "ok, this dance is for married or engaged people only." then he turned to me and said "Hey 'Lizabeth will you marry me?"
I had just enough time to get a "you're really weird" expression, but i didn't have to reply cuz someone else came up, but he keeps adding these strange things....that I havn't thought about til now.....Thanks alot Grant!!

| Thats just wierd wat that guy did. Im with Grant, the first thing i thought was that he was trying to make you jealous. And that was a messed up way to do it to. Sounds like hes a jerk to me but idk ha. Im as confused as you are haha |

I've been to a couple dances "with him" (as in we happened to be at the same one, and he drove me and his sister to another one)
Yeah, I don't know what to think of him! Sometimes he's really nice and gentlemanly, other times he's a complete dork!! (there was one instance which i don't even care to disclose)
So...I am left in the dark... and OK with that! |

he could be just trying to be funny...?? i donno... it is kinda a weird way to do it...
but like I was talking to my best guy friend once, and I said "I think I talk to much and am WAY TOO LOUD!" and he said "Well Duh, Course you are!" and I was like "Um... thankyou??" and he said "Nah just joking, you're awesome!" so idk... sometimes guys just think it's funny, even though us girls think they're being stupid... but honest my first reaction to your post was "if that guy had said that to me, I'da said "well what if i didn't wanna go with you *pokes tongue out*" idk just take it as him trying to be funny... i probably would ahve fell on the ground laughing and be like "sure you were..." and if he said "will you marry me" I'da said "Um ok, but you have to buy me a brand new mercedes benz first."
(just as a joke, I wouldn't make a guy buy me a car so that I'd marry him...) |

Well....I didn't think about that at the time. rats.
I'm really glad i didn't go, because my parents- who did go- said it was really wild and all you could see was skin! blech!
Plus...this guy is really going downhill. I guess he found the wrong crowd to hang out with, and they've been sending prank e-mails and sexting. This guy has problems, and he needs some prayer! |
