I've been doing a lot of reading and stuff trying to find where I stand when it comes to dancing. Especially couple dancing. I do enjoy some line dancing. But if any of you guys have "couple" danced before, I was wondering if you find it harder to keep your thoughts pure? I do not want to dance with a guy if he is going to struggle the whole time. Thanks

Ok, so I see absolutely nothing wrong with dance, as a couple or otherwise. It all depends on HOW you are dancing. If you are pressed as close together as possible then obviously he is going to struggle. But I love to go ballroom dancing. And I think ballroom dancing shows guys, especially this day and age how to respect a girl... I myself would suggest to everyone to go and at least try one class of ballroom dancing. You will gain a new respect for this. Though I will say, if you can, take either Swing or Salsa classes they are the most fun. |

I'm not sure about the guys' point of view, but I LOVE ballroom dancing! I've been dancing for about 2 years now and it's a wonderful way to get to socialize. In most of the dances you have to maintain certain forms (or postures); you'll know what I mean if you've ever seen professional dancers performing the waltz, tango or foxtrot. |

OK talking of dancing... watch "take the lead" starring antonio bandaras (donno how to spell it) but he talks about why he's teaching these "hood" kids to do Ballroom dancing. awesome movie, and since then, i reckon everyone shold do ballroom. haha, me myself, I'm a professional dancer (not in ballroom tho) and idk, I have couple danced with guys (never dated any of them, but like in dance routines or at weddings or bdays etc.) and idk, for me, maybe cuz I've never been infatuated with the guys I've danced with, it didn't really mean anything... idk I guess if I danced with the guy I'm interested in, i might feel "butterflies", but i think that's prob as far as it'd go, and I def wouldn't be pressing myself up against him... that's a BIG nono... |

ok thanks, that does give me some stuff to think about. But while I'm still living at home I will have to respect my dad and not do any couple dancing. Plus that will give me time to think on it all. |
