| If you are at that point in your life where you are 17 and about to be a senior in high school it is very complicated when you are interested in someone. You are at a point where you are growing up and thinking towards the idea of a future spouse and you are also not old enough to be getting married yet. You have never dated before bc you are waiting, but wonder if you should date the person you really like as a senior or wait until college. I guess my question is what is your opinion if you and someone like each other but you are scared to date and scared to wait til college, either way it's scary. Do you think it would be a waste of time and a heart break to date in high school? Do you think it would be wiser to wait until college to see what happens? Do you think hanging out one on one if we dont date would be a mistake? |

Not sure what to tell you since I haven't dated yet, but I decided to wait until I felt God was telling me that I should pursue "this" girl. I've been waiting for 21 years, and I'm finally beginning to think my ship is coming in. Just remember that God's time line doesn't have marks for "high school" or "college," etc. When it's time, it's time. |

yeah, I agree- there isn't really a magic number or conventional formula, like "okay I'm this age and this is going to happen." God has such different plans for all of us! And even the two people in a couple have both got to that point from different places, especially if one is older, because just going from being fifteen and figuring out how things work to being 16 and getting tons of freedom with a license is a huge difference. Anyway, I don't think you have any reason to be scared!! You're life is happening right now, with or without a date!!! Your friends and family are there to support you, and God really does have it all planned out. You don't have to worry about getting it right- just trust that God will let you know when it's right. Something I read in "Answering the Guy Questions" was that if a girl isn't sure about a guy, then she has no need to rush. He is God, He can keep a guy interested without any interference from the girl (like dressing to impress etc), and guys, same about girls!! He has it all in His hands, He can make it work out if He wants it that way. |

If anyone came close to being prince charming.. well let's just say he's got them all beat! haha I will continue to pray and trust God bc i do know that He has the plan for my life! And i guess if something did happen that I could pray about it and go from there |

idk, personally, having been in your situation, I found it better in the end to have waited til after highschool, because when you go to dif colleges, or move overseas, you're left with heartbreak. but every person is different... but I agree with grant. (ps i've also been waiting 21 years lol.) |
