| So there's this guy (lets call him Joe) at the camp I work at, and his cousins (3 brothers) go to my church. Whenever "joe", or camp, or relatives of any kind, comes up in a conversation they give me "that look", or say "do you like him" or "might we be related someday?". It really gets on my nerves the way they incessently Tease and Tease me! How do I get them to get off my back about this? It's getting really annoying.
Should I get my dad to go after them, just ignore them, or "play along"(sarcastically, of course)?

Well, do you(like him)? Sounds like they're taking some friendly teasing overboard, and should chill out, but the best thing to do is just to ignore them and don't give them the satisfaction of a reaction. That's all they're really after anyway. They just wanna ruffle your feathers and make you stomp off like an old wet hen. Don't play along. That throws a whole other variable in there that you don't want. Stuff like that can almost make you start "liking" someone just because someone expects you to, or whatever, and can cause serious problems down the road. I say just ignore them, and if they're still being stupid, you could get your dad to talk to them, but I think ignoring should do the trick nicely.

Well I think you should ignore them, but if you like him..??? Then I don't know???
Having your dad talk to them will most likely do the trick, but I would suggest possibly talking to them about it...or ignoring them and if they don't stop then you should bring your dad in...

I have had this same problem for the past year. There was this guy that is younger than i am by a year and a half. Some of my friends said he liked me, and teased me all year about him, even though I didn't like him. I would think that these guys are teasing you because they want a reaction out of you. Just ignore them in a kind way or just walk away if you have to.
Hope this helps, and I'm glad I am not the only one who has had to deal with this. |

| Haha sounds like theyre just messing with you guys do that and if you just play along sarcastically, it shouldnt get worse maybe theyll even cool it down a little well thats at lest how it happens where i live haha good luck either way though |

Well, do you(like him)?
After spending a week at camp "with him" (as in, we were always in the same general area) I decided...he's a creeper! He keeps waiting until I walk out of the door to come out, and then he always walks slightly faster than I do. Or else he'll get in the dinner line right after me and try to grab a seat by me (I try to discourage that). Plus I happen to know that he does that with almost Every girl! So...No, I don't, and i didn't before I found out about his creepiness, either.

Prolly not. I think I see him just as much as they do.

| haha ok yeah. i had a creepo guy at camp (who was like 7 years younger than me) following me and trying to sit by me etc... so my friends decided to always take up the seats near me to keep him away, but eventually I had to tell him to go away cuz I was too old for him. he didn't even back off when we created this elaborate story about how I made my "bf" (i dont have one) wait 2 years to go out with me because i was waiting for the right guy. haha. he kinda didn't get the hint. |
