I am currently listening to "voice of truth" by casting crowns and thought that this'd be a good topic: What is your favorite Christian song/artist (so anyone on here can look them up on youtube or whatever)?

"The purpose of Christianity is not to avoid difficulty, but to produce a character adequate to meet it when it comes. It does not make life easy; rather it tries to make us great enough for life." -- James L. Christensen

"For a small reward, a man will hurry away on a long journey; while for eternal life, many will hardly take a single step." Thomas a' Kempis (1380-1471)

My favorite song with Christian themed lyrics (can a song itself really be a Christian?) is currently "Necrotizing Fasciitis" by Becoming the Archetype.

Aim at heaven and you will get earth thrown in. Aim at earth and you get neither.

So good guys, keep the responses coming.

Clare, for an awesome Christian Rap artist search Rapture Ruckus on youtube- a band that at the moment is only famous in NZ but just signed with an American Label.

yes, it was Reliant K. I like their music, but don't LOVE it. A lot of it sounds the same to me. I really like they're Christmas songs though, and they'll do several of them at the WonderSlam concert. Have funn!!

Thanks I have never been to a concert before and I'm alittle apprehensive, I get migraine headaches from loud sounds so I'm afraid I will have to be a dork and wear ear plugs:)

Did you just say Relient K is OKAY. Wrong. They are the best band of all time ever. There new album is depressing. But as of now my fav Christian song is probably: "I Don't Need a Soul to Hold" or "Sahara" both by them.
I guess I could see your reason for not liking them, being as you like rap

Not to be rude, but they are named after a car, so it's Relient K. There my fav band so I have to correct you. There lyrics matter more than the actual music, Matt is so funny.

haha yeah.... whatever Kyle (I'm assuming that's your name?). No-- actually, I don't really like rap but I love love love tobyMac in concert (and he does a variety of music and beats, so it's not like the *thud* *thud* *thud* kind of rap. lol). And thanks for correcting me, I've always thought it was spelled Reliant for some reason. And I will add that I love their one song that's about being "locked inside a house, while you hold the key" if that justifies my sin of calling Relient K "okay." :D

Thank you Rose, for getting my name right. I wasn't taling to you in the first post I was talking to Clare. The song your thinking of is "Be My Escape." And if it is my decesion, I supose your Song-choosing sin is forgiven, jk. You listen to what you like, I'll do the same. I will sit in my corner and know everyone else is... WRONG. Muhawhahwhaw!
