Superchic[k], Casting Crowns and Hawk Nelson are good, though. My crush showed me two of Superchic[k]'s songs - I bought the album, love it. Then she told me I shouldn't have bought the album cause she has like all of them. She only said that, because through me she has 4 Relient K albums.

Also my Youth Minister, told me about Skillet and Red. There good if you like slightly heavier stuff.

And a cousin of mine told me about Devil Wears Prada (The Band). I don't like them at all, but then again I only listen to heavy metal when I am in a slump.

My favorite Christian bands are Addison Road, Relient K., Family Force Five, Francesca Battistelli(she's not a band but she's good)Skillet, Owl City(I just recently found out he was Christian)and I like Jonny Diaz's "More beautiful You"... it's the only song I've heard of his but it's good... so it's a pretty well rounded group of bands. :) My band bases our music off of the sound of Addison Road since there are three girls in our band and only one guy, and Addison Road is kind of a band that more girls than guys would like, but I might be waaay off. Everyone has their own taste after all... we had to stop at Addison Road though because one of the other girls probably wouldn't like Skillet and she likes pop whereas the guy absolutely loathes pop, and said we HAD to play rock.. and I knew that Addison Road is a Christian Rock band so we're kind of saying "take it or leave it." but it should all smooth out.... hopefully... :)

I just got Owl City's 'Ocean Eyes' off iTunes. Tis a great album- highly recommended. I also recently got Family Force 5's 'Business Up Front, Party In The Back [Diamond Edition]' Tis also a great album except for track 5 ('Put your hands up')- It's opening lyric is "Ugly people put your hands down." I feel that it would have been such a great song but for this one lyric (repeated several times on the track).... So discriminatory.

"The purpose of Christianity is not to avoid difficulty, but to produce a character adequate to meet it when it comes. It does not make life easy; rather it tries to make us great enough for life." -- James L. Christensen

I've heard that song, and what my sister and I think that by "ugly people" it might mean people who don't believe in God... we're not sure though.. Owl city is amazing, and what's odd is that any other person who sings lyrics like those wouldn't really be able to pull it off since they are kind of cheesy, but it WORKS for Owl City. B)

FF5 confuses me so much- have you seen Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer? It's really violent and gives a bad message.

I interpreted "ugly people" is something along the lines of people who aren't worried about having fun are beautiful but it's not cool to be a stick in the mud.

Yeah i do think there's a dif meaning behind "ugly people" lol.
idk i haven't seen that vid, but they are so funny live... I was practically rolling on the ground laughing :D have you seen the vid for "kountry gentlemen?"

Simon, is that the only album you've heard??
I own "Business Up Front Party In The Back", "Business Up Front Party In The Back - Diamond Edition", "Dance Or Die", "Dance Or Die With A Vengeance" and "Christmas Pageant"

Dance Or Die is WAY DIF to BUFPITB... gosh that looks so odd with just the first letters...

My favorite dance or die song is "fever" but listen to "share it with me"... it's so sad, I cried!!!

I LOVE Tobymac.
Switchfoot
barlow girl
etc.
right now I really like a song by Kutless called what love can do. I really like the message.
I also like the music video for Tobymac's Extreme days. it's weird and cool at the same time.

I'm more into traditional choir and Southern Gospel-style music.

Well of Water ever springing,
Bread of Life so rich and free;
Untold wealth that never faileth,
My Redeemer is to me.
Hallelujah, I have found Him
Whom my soul so long did crave!
Jesus satisfied my longings,
Through His Blood I now am saved.

How He Loves by David Crowder Band is amazing! So is the combination of I Am Free by Newsboys and Freedom by Eddie James. They perform that song at almost every youth function I go to. --- As for my favorite Christian artists : Anberlin, Skillet, Thousand Foot Krutch, The Classic Crime, Toby Mac, Relient K, Family Force 5, Everyday Sunday, Copeland, Mat Kearney, Switchfoot, Lecrae, Ivoryline, RED, Leeland, Disciple, Nevertheless, Chris Tomlin, The Rocket Summer, Emery, Lifehouse, 12 Stones. Just to name a few. Haha. --- I got the chance to see Skillet a few years back at a little Christian bookstore when Comatose was just coming out. They did a little acoustic setting. They did Whispers In The Dark and DANG John sings great! It was cool seeing that his voice was pure and not all digital. --- I also got to go to Winter Wonder Slam back in December of '08 and saw Toby, Relient K, and Family Force 5. It was an amazing show! FF5 did a lot of digital effects which was really cool. ~Kid Love
