So there is this guy I talk to and were really really close and we talk on the phone a LOT but ever since our prayer meetings got cancled we haven't seen each other. I want to ask him if we could hang out some time but I wasn't sure if it would be okay because he has a girlfriend would it be inapproptraite (sp?) for me to ask him to hang out because of the fact he has a girlfriend or would it be okay because we'd be in a group any way?

If he has a girlfriend, hanging out with him is not the best idea. She might become jealous or distrust him. If you were at youth group, or church or something and talking that's fine, but if get together with the purpose of hanging out, prob not the best idea.

I agree with Clare. but I'll add that if there's an event on or something and a group of you are going, i dont see a problem there, but yeah, if his GF has "pretty girl syndrome" she'll probs get real jealous... been there, done that, not fun

Okay thanks . So inviting him to a prayer meeting or youth group or something like that would be tottaly fine?

I'd think so. but be careful, if his GF starts getting weird... maybe back off a little so keep an eye out,

Thanks! He's like a big brother to me and I really miss him so hopefully we can figure out something :/. To tell the truth I have no idea what his gf is like at all, all I know about her is her name and what she looks like from pics that he posted on FB. I talk to him at least once a week if not more and he NEVER talks about her I wouldn't even know he had a gf if I wasn't on FB for a while..So would it be worth a shot asking him to hang out sense we'd be in a group any way it would not be just me and him? Or is it all together a bad idea unless I was inviting him to an event such as prayer meeting or something?

And just to repeat what everyone else has been saying (and quite lovely advice I might add): Bad idea to hang out with him alone unless you know for sure his girlfriend is totally okay with it and trusts you. I think it would be okay to invite him to a prayer meeting....

Ok as a guy I can speak for him. Usually we like going to group stuff so go ahead and invite him. But if you like him and he has a girlfriend be careful. Us guys migjt dostupid things for you girls but dont do that fot us. Ask how things are with his gf he wing mind if its casyal. But like i said be careful. Us guys are unpredictable even to eachother. Do what I do to the girl i like. Study them but don't stalk him whatever you do. So go invite him to youth or something.
