what do u guys think about purity rings? im gonna ask my mom about it 2.
i think its pretty neat, like a tangible reminder that ur gonna stay pure 4 ur husband and not do anything that ur gonna regret down the road.

People are more violently opposed to fur than leather because it's safer to harass rich women than motorcycle gangs.

I think they are great! Instead of just an promise, it's a promise you can visualize. I have one and I like how it's a constant reminder of how I will stay pure for my future husband.

haha I have a purity ring. I might have mentioned it on an earlier topic...

Mine has ingraved on it " <3 True <3 Love <3 Waits <3 "

I've been wearing mine for about 5 years now, even though I made a pledge about abstinence over a decade ago... I think... (my first ring broke... I'm on my 2nd)

Turn up the music
Turn it up loud
Take a few chances
Let it all out
'Cause you won't regret it
Lookin' back from where you have been
'Cause it's not who you knew
And it's not what you did
It's how you live

I think they are wonderful! A constant reminder of what you stand for. They are unique to you and your convictions. Oh, and a good conversation starter too. ;o) I wore one from my 15th year and on (I'm fairly newly married now- not quite a year- so now I just wear my wedding rings) and I loved my ring. Plan on giving one to all my daughters! :)

I think its a nice reminder. I like the way they did it in courageous because its similar to what we did in my family. Except I gave my dad a "key to my heart" on my 13th birthday and I was given a small cross necklace.

But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ

I wear a purity ring and it's a nice reminder to stay pure: body, mind and sprit.

I have one too! I get a bunch of crap for it at school, though. Like, it's almost as if the only thing that matters in some peoples lives is having sex and "gettin some". It's hard not to let it bother me cuz the ones giving me crap about it are my only friends at my school :/. My big bro from church told me not to worry because all those dudes prolly aren't gonna "get any" any time soon. It still bothers me though, any thoughts on how to deal with this?

Luke 6:48, (THE MESSAGE) "If you work the words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who dug deep and laid the foundation of his house on bedrock. When the river burst its banks and crashed against the house, nothing could shake it; it was built to last.

it is hard, especially when it seems no one around you is supporting you. these guys feel like it will make them "more of a man" to do it and once they have and you still haven't they will realize they were losers and you are more the man. don't give into the pressure, we will always be made fun of for doing right. I don't know what to say to make it any easier but keep your mine on what is right and don't feel like you're missing. It can never be stressed enough how it pays off to wait and how much waiting will mean so much to you and your future wife (and kids!!)
